JBL Clip 3 Review:Design & Build
The new version JBL Clip 3 still have the same round what we see in the previous version JBL Clip 2. Obviously the new version got some changes on it. Yet, in terms of size the Clip 3 is a bit bigger and thicker. Because of that it adds more a bit weight to it and it is weighing around 210 G.
In terms of looks, design and quality this tiny little speaker is amazing and remarkable. Because of its material quality it is rugged and robust and because of that it really adds a nice finish to it.
Indeed at the it has a sturdy material finish, that’s make the product feels like it will last longer. And it can prevent from damaging like wear and tear.
At the top of it, you will get a carabiner clip which can be hooked on most of the things. This can be used in many, depending upon the situation.
At the front side the dedicated the Volume Button and Play/Pause are attach. Towards the right side of the speaker there’s lie a Power On/Off Button as well as the Bluetooth Button.
By looking at the top you will get an LED indicator and there is where it shows the device is wether On/Off, wether the Bluetooth is On or Off as well as battery percentage indication.
Finally, towards the bottom you’ve got a place for 3.5 mm Aux jack and a Mini USB charging port. Plus there also a rubber bottom padding preventing from sliding while lying on the table or other surface.
Coming to the battery as per mention by the company this tiny speaker has a capacity of 1,000mAh and could last upto 10 Hours of Playback with a single full charge. But this may not be the case.
Here’s how it perform in reality.
As per as I know with a single full if you are using at 50 percent of volume it can last upto 6 to 7 hours. On the other hand, if using at full volume it can last upto 4 Hours.
Regarding the charging the speaker you have done through a Micro USB Cable. But unfortunately the adapter is not included, you have to use your own. However to get really juice it take upto 3 Hours.
The connectivity or the Bluetooth range is also decent like most of the speaker this also has a range of 10 M which is approximately 30 Feet. But the downside is that it’s still using the old version of Bluetooth which is 4.1.
However, the decent range make it ide for using as a personal speaker. With that being said, connecting to any device is simple and device.
Additionally, it also has a feature of automatic connection, which means you need not to perform the pairing task again and again it will automatically pair the last connection when turning on.
Regarding the latency while playing Videos from YouTube, Netflix etc. this speaker has almost no latency on it. Well, there is a slight delay while Pausing or Playing a song. However, this kind of delay can be found in other Bluetooth speakers as well.
This time the JBL Clip 3 miss the feature JBL Connect+, yet this feature was still available on Clip 2. Which means there is no way of connecting a multiple device through Connect+ App. But still I thinks it’s ok.
Is This Waterproof?
Yes ofcourse, this is totally waterproof.
This could be one of the best the feature, because this can handle any water of extreme water conditions. You do need to worry about being getting wet. Additionally, this can submerged into the water upto 1 M thanks to its IPX7 rating. However, if you just throw this won’t easily get submerged instead it will float into the water.
JBL Clip 3 Review:Sound Quality
Moving on the most important part of the revie i. e the quality of the sound. Well, the fact is that JBL products doesn’t seem to compromise when ot comes to quality of sound and Yes this one also there is not much compromise.
In terms of quality output this one seems a bit better when comparing to the Clip 2. It produce a rich sound as well as enjoyable immersive audio. But, there is a little need of adding bass to it. However in comparison to the second generation this one is much better, louder and fuller.
In Clip 3 the amount of lows is noticeable when playing a song that has a good amount of bass. On other genre it quite seems perform well.
Well, we can’t hope a bigger a bass as by looking the size. Nonetheless, it does have a well balance and ok quality of bass. It is a fact that there is no muffle up with highs as well as lows.
Getting good amount of bass require a bit larger size well if your main concern is for you should give a try on JBL Flip 4 or Flip 5.
It will really do rights with it when that comes to defination and richness. Well, if you are familiar together with type of appear to be Bright or Warm Sound. This tiny little speaker is usually on right aspect.
Even thought this specific within the right nevertheless it does genuinely do justice. And possesses that level of control and because of that there is no utmost navigation. Because of that it create a clear plus crisp quality.
For that reason the audio tracks released from this little speaker is clean and clear. That’s make an easy task to be familiar with lyrics while listening a music. In addition , the way it handle typically the highs along with mids is definitely good.
Even at high volume there its still produce the high quality sound with a little negligible distortion. However, listening a rock music at high volume might not give you a good experience. But you are organising a small party with friends then its acceptable.
Despite of its small in size it doesn’t do much very well in terms of Metal music. The performance isn’t that overwhelming but it is ok. It is a fact the portable Bluetooth Speaker has a poor support of metal genre very well. But, Yes to get that speaker that can handle Metal very you need to pay a higher price.

JBL Clip 3 Review:Final Words
In my perspective there is nothing much to like about the ultra portable Bluetooth speaker JBL Clip 3 whether i terms of design and Sound quality. But by looking at the price and size of the speaker it does justice to it.
The loudness doesn’t is not that much, that could reach the backyard. But yeah it is great choice for personal uses, listening podcast and hiking.
If your budget is really main concern and wanted to buy a tiny little that can withstand any type of watery conditions. This is really worth buying.
